Satilla Marsh Elementary turns 21 this year. As we reflect on two decades of service, we have plenty of memories that fill us with pride. But still, we strive to be better. Because we know that the stronger our staff, the more we will benefit our students.
So we invest in ourselves through our own continued learning. We model the curiosity and diligence that we expect of our students. We strive to broaden our perspectives and improve our teaching practices. We ask questions, we try new things, and though we sometimes fall, we get up and try again. We seek ways to empower our students with the capabilities of achieving their personal goals. Our PBIS initiative at Satilla Marsh allows us to hold ourselves accountable. We use this program to self-assess our school climate and continually track the impact we have on our students. Below are a few of our overarching beliefs and practices: -Valuing and fostering relationships -Having positive attitudes -Student goal setting -Involving children in setting classroom and school-wide expectations -Communicating respectfully and open-mindedly Please share with us a story of positivity or excellence that you see at The Marsh so that we can feature it here on the blog. We wish the best to all members of the Sandpiper family as we begin our 2018-2019 school year. Thank you for joining us on this journey. For the students, PBIS Core Team |
